With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of our beloved mother, Emma Rodriguez, who peacefully passed away on January 17th 2025 at the age of 70. Born in Tecpan, Mexico on June 4th 1954, she was a cherished matriarch known for her unwavering support, humor, and parties. She enjoyed bringing the family together for a good carne asada and made the best tamales for decades in the northwest suburbs of IL. Emma Rodriguez is survived by her loving husband Jose Reyes Guerrero; children Genaro Salgado, Cony Salgado, Claudia Garcia, Emmanuel Rodriguez, and Enrique Giles; (preceded in death by) Mireya Salgado; grandchildren, Argeni Bailon, Cristina Bailon, Jasmine Garcia, Justin Garcia, Ruth Garcia, Nate Garcia, Donovan Giles, Jr. Jose Garcia, Bellamie Rodriguez, Melodie Rodriguez, as well as great-grandchildren. All our welcome to the Visitation which will be held at River Woods Funeral Chapels in Des Plaines IL from 2:00pm to 8:00pm on Wednesday, January 22nd 2025. Funeral mass will be held at St Mary Catholic Church in Des Plaines, IL on Thursday, January 23rd at 10:00am. A private burial service for close family and friends will follow. Nacida en Tecpán, México el Junio 4, 1954, fue una querida matriarca conocida por su apoyo incondicional, humor y fiestas. Le gustaba reunir a la familia para disfrutar de una buena carne asada y preparó los mejores tamales durante décadas en los suburbios del noroeste de Illinois. A Emma Rodríguez le sobreviven su amado esposo José Reyes Guerrero; los hijos Genaro Salgado, Cony Salgado, Claudia García, Emmanuel Rodríguez y Enrique Giles; (precedida en muerte por) Mireya Salgado; nietos, Argeni Bailon, Cristina Bailon, Jasmine García, Justin García, Ruth García, Nate García, Donovan Giles, Jr. José García, Bellamie Rodríguez, Melodie Rodríguez, así como bisnietos. Sean todos bienvenidos al velatorio que se va hacer en River Woods Funeral Chapels en Des Plaines IL el miércoles 22 de Enero de 2025 de las 2:00 p.m. a 8:00 p.m. La misa será el jueves 23 de Enero a la 10 a.m. en St. Mary Catholic Church in Des Plaines, IL. y después el servicio de entierro que será privado para familiares y amigos cercanos.
