Fred Menzer, a man of unwavering faith, discipline, and generosity, passed away, leaving behind a legacy that touched countless lives. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Joyce Menzer, the love of his life. Fred is survived by his four children: Cindy Moore and her partner Debbie Naylor, Scott Moore and his wife Susie Moore, Rory Moore and his wife Barb Moore, and Randy Moore; his grandchildren: Brandon Moore, Allison Alvarez and her husband Jorge Alvarez, Sean Moore, Thomas Moore, Julie Moore, Michelle Moore, and Dylan Moore; and his great-grandchildren: Isabella Alvarez and Sophia Alvarez. He is also survived by his siblings: Dorothy Pecora and her husband Dave Pecora, Liz Kauz and her husband Jim Kauz, Shirley Menzer, Tim Menzer and his wife Mary Menzer, and Sue Tortorello and her husband Chuck Tortorello. Fred was the epitome of health, dedicating himself to a lifestyle of nutritious eating, daily exercise, and practices like cold showers that he believed promoted wellness. His discipline was unmatched, rising at 3:30 AM several times a week to run three miles and complete his weightlifting routine before beginning his day with spiritual devotion. A deeply spiritual man, Fred didn’t just profess his faith—he lived it. Each morning, before Joyce’s passing, he spent an hour by her side, holding her hand, reading devotions, and praying through his prayer chain. This chain included anyone facing hardships—health, financial, or relational—and once added, they remained in his prayers until their passing. Fred’s commitment to his church was profound; he supported it tirelessly, even delivering sermons when the pastor was unavailable. Fred’s generosity knew no bounds. He gave freely of his time, skills, and resources. Whether it was offering advice, assisting with home repairs, or providing financial help, Fred was a pillar of support for those in need. A self-taught handyman, he mastered plumbing, electrical work, painting, and more, skills that proved invaluable as he and Joyce built their lives in real estate. Known for his thoughtfulness, Fred handwrote thank-you notes and cards filled with heartfelt intentions for every occasion. His disciplined, giving, and faithful nature made him an inspiration to all who knew him. Fred Menzer was truly loved and will be deeply missed by his family, friends, and community. His life serves as a model of compassion, faith, and resilience for us all.
